Bystronic and the BLM GROUP agree on a marketing alliance

Bystronic and the BLM GROUP agree on mutual marketing of their sheet metal and tube processing systems. The alliance will come into effect on July 1 of this year.

 

Bystronic (sheet metal processing systems) and the BLM GROUP (tube processing systems) will in future work together closely in market development. A corresponding cooperation agreement is intended to further increase the market coverage of both companies and to make them even more effective against competitors.

 

Bystronic and BLM GROUP customers will in future benefit from significantly simplified access to the complete portfolio of technologically state-of-the-art products and services that belong to the jet-set in their respective markets.

 

Bystronic is a worldwide active supplier of high-quality solutions for the economical processing of sheet metal and other sheet materials. Customers benefit from application-oriented systems and services for laser and waterjet cutting processes as well as bending. The company with its headquarters in Niederönz, Switzerland, and subsidiaries in more than 20 countries, in 2008 achieved translated revenues of around € 500 million and employed a staff of some 1,600 at the end of the commercial year.

 

BLM GROUP is worldwide the technological and market leader in the design, manufacture and sales of tube processing machines such as: Laser tube cutting systems for tubes up to 508 mm outside diameter, sawing machines for tube, bar and profile (ADIGE and ADYGE-SYS), tube and wire benders (BLM). With 498 employees and an export share of over 65 percent, in 2008 the BLM GROUP achieved a turnover of € 128 million.

 

The alliance between Bystronic and the BLM GROUP will be effective from July 1, 2009. It includes numerous marketing activities to inform (potential) customers about the benefits of the respective technologies and to convince them of the advantages of integration of the corresponding processes.
