Tens of thousands of visitors turned up for this year's mega Machine Tools and Metalworking Technology exhibition, METALEX 2008. This eye-opening largest trade show in ASEAN was held in Bangkok, Thailand from 20th-23rd November 2008.
The visitors for this four-day event consisted of business proprietors, students & their mentors, and people with keen interest in machines from all over the world. Many attended the event with the hope of securing special exhibition offers for their new machine purchases, and also to uncover new technologies in the world of metalworking.
Competition among the different booths was rampant, but morales and camaraderie of the exhibition staff at Bystronic ran high as countless enquiries swarmed in.
Discussions with interested and prospective machine buyers were held over drinks and snacks at the tables within our booth to create a feel-at-home factor. This tactic was a definite crowd-puller as many exhibition-goers stopped by our booth -to check out our Byvention that was on display and at work, and to ogle at the many visitors who were engaged in discussions with our staff.
